👋 Hi, I'm Nick I love teaching. I've spent most of my adult life working as a professional musician - performing, recording, and touring all over the world - but my favorite thing to do is to help someone play something they never thought they could. |

Music is hard. It takes effort and patience - at least it did for me.
I've felt drawn to music all of my life, but it's never something that came easily to me. I didn't have a natural knack for music and my parents didn't have a musical bone in their bodies.
I spent four years at the University of Northern Colorado, pursuing a degree in Jazz Studies and playing in a band of my own at the same time. It was difficult and there were a lot of sleepless nights, but my love for the music and my dedication to the craft enabled me to graduate with honors and sign a record deal. During and after school, I began to tour extensively throughout the United States, seeing nearly every state several times over. During that time I got to hear my songs on the radio and in TV shows, play dream tours like the Vans Warped Tour, and get my first taste of making a living as a musician. That experience enabled me to play for other bands of all genres as a "hired gun." As a freelance drummer I was able to tour internationally, meet musical heroes of mine like Travis Barker, and play crazy venues like the O2 Arena in London. Over the years my motto has become:
